I just got off a 1.5-hour call with Jimmy Warden. I feel I learned much more about mindfulness or meditation in that call than I've ever learned in my life. Around the middle of our 23-24 season, I struggled with self-doubt and confidence on the field. I knew Coach Jimmy offered mindfulness sessions, so I reached out. We had a short meeting where he explained the importance of self-talk and how big of an impact negative thoughts can have out on the field. Jimmy's loving kindness course really made a difference for me when I needed it. I was freshly unemployed, and his weekly calls helped me stay grounded and grateful and appreciate my life and the people in it, even during a time where I was struggling. He showed up to the call every week with a lesson, which helped me get a new perspective on loving people. And then he would do meditation and help me practice that art of loving kindness, and it would really change my day, change how I interacted with the world, changed how I perceive things, just having that time to practice and learn about how to appreciate what I have in my life. He's a great teacher who really knows what he's talking about, and I'd highly recommend working with him in any capacity

I was feeling emotions of anger, anxiety, and frustration from the game we had a few days prior. Through this session, Jimmy offered a few strategies to help me. The biggest strategy was to recognize the emotion's presence. Instead of focusing on how mad I was, I would take a breath, and realize I was feeling angry. That took me out of that sense of anger, which created a lot more peace. I felt extremely comfortable going to him to talk about what I was thinking, and I was able to implement the strategies that we discussed. Through practice, I saw tons of positive results.

When I first met Jimmy, we were having a casual conversation and getting to know each other. He was offering free mindfulness sessions, so we met for that a few weeks later. After our short practice together, I quickly realized this was something I wanted to invest in. At the time, I was often negative about various aspects of my life, and it was controlling my mood and focus when it came to working on my online business and in day-to-day life. 6 weeks later... I was a whole different person. Between our weekly 1:1s and the guided mindfulness meditations Jimmy put together for me to use throughout the day, everything changed. Positive energy flowed through me every single day when I implemented mindfulness. Each week, we had a new focus and practice, all of which related to my goals and intentions for mindfulness. After our 6 weeks, I've taken what I've learned and use it in every aspect of my life. When I take walks, feel a bit down, or hit a workout, mindfulness is there by my side.
